The Illustration Friday topic is the Zoo. I've always had somewhat mixed feelings about zoos but I remember how much my daughter enjoyed seeing the animals when she was small so I did this as a straight promotional poster. I love the drawing but the bear blends into the background somewhat. I can understand why you used brown as a background but a little work on bringing the bears head off the page would give it some real zip!
thanks. I've just started doing these pastels on coloured paper and I rather like the way the image emerges from the background, but it does come off somewhat muted
I think this picture is outstanding, and I went thru all your portraits on flickr, and they are extremely well done. Great work all around.
