My first instinct when I see one of these creatures is to swat it and kill it but I'm sure that they are a useful and necessary part of our world

- I was a Cobol programmmer for almost 25 years and I am now semi retired. One of the best things about retirement is to finally have some time to play at being a visual artist again, something I was not able to do for a long time

You've captured the beauty of them, swat or not! :)
Wonderfully done illustration. You can rest assure that if these little guys are left alone, they will not sting. It is the wasp that will sting for the fun of it. Beware of them.
Where would we be without them???
