Illustration Friday - Muddy

The great blues singer and guitarist, Muddy Waters. Back in 1973 when I met my wife one of our first dates was seeing Muddy and his band at the Colonial Tavern in Toronto. He was already in his late fifties and sat down throughout his performance but his voice and guitar playing were wonderful.

Outstanding portrait. Very well done. It's not easy using white charcoal on black paper, excellent work.

Beautiful portrait, great story too. Yes, there are a few of us who thought of the same thing. Great minds...

Seriously, excellent portrait - kind of puts mine to shame - love your work, I often try for a similar style yet never seem to pull it off (hence there are no images on my blog)
super cool mate, love it - and what a great anecdote
